Upcoming events at the Abiquiu Library!

MOSAIC : Children and adults are invited to participate in a four-session mosaic workshop with artist Sabra Moore, starting Thursday afternoon August 2nd from 4-6pm and continuing through Thursday, August 23rd. Sessions include drawing, rolling out clay tiles, paintings tiles and glazing. Participants will help create a 30″ circular mosaic which Moore will install at the entrance to the library for all to enjoy.

“Land-Water-People-Time,” a film about northern New Mexico, will be shown on Saturday, August 11, 2012, 4-6 p.m. at the Santo Tomas Parish Hall in Abiquiu.Dinner and music will follow the film at 5 p.m. The screening is free to the Abiquiu and surrounding community at the courtesy of filmmakers, Danny Valerio, Cynthia J. Gomez and David Lindblom.

Cost: $15/per person or $25/per couple for dinner as a benefit for the Abiquiu Library. Tickets at the Library or at the door. Thanks to Cynthia Gomez for donating the showing of the film.

SANTA ROSA de LIMA  FIESTA  Book Sale: Saturday August 25th starting @ 10am. Find some great books and help the library at the same time, then enjoy the fiesta on the Abiquiu Plaza.
