Muslim Journey’s Bookshelf Award

-Our HOLIDAY PARTY was a great success. We received a $1,500 grant from International Community Foundation in California thanks to an anonymous donor. Over thirty friends joined us for dinner and enjoyed Lorenzo Gonzalez’s fine guitar music and a traditional meal of Posole, Beans, Chile, Sopa and other treats. Many people went home with handmade ornaments. Special thanks to Iren Schio for her creative tea bags and Glenna Dean for her miniature knitted mittens, and to all the other artists who decorated ornaments. Your collective support contributed an additional $2,100 to the library. All donations go directly to operating and programming.

-Pueblo de Abiquiu Library was recently awarded a Muslim Journey’s Bookshelf Award, including twenty books and three films, from the National Endowment for the Humanities Bridging Cultures initiative. Contact the library for information on film nights and other special programming related to this award.

-Thank you to Debbie Carrillo for her fine donation books; these will greatly enhance our collections.
