Give Grande On May 6, 2014

Northern Youth Project and Pueblo de Abiquiu Library Partner to
Celebrate Give Grande NM
May 6, 2014

The Community Foundation Coalition of New Mexico is organizing Give Grande NM, a day of online giving dedicated to supporting local causes as part of the national Give Local America movement. It is likely to be one of the largest online fundraising events in history.

Give Grande NM is designed to make it easy for donors to connect with nonprofits via a secure and simple website. On May 6, 2014 for 24 hours, donors will be able to donate directly to nonprofits working in their communities by visiting: http://www.givegrandenm.org with opportunities for matching funds for these vital organizations.

Northern Youth Project and the Pueblo de Abiquiu Library and Cultural Center, both Abiquiu’s participating non-profits, are partnering to host a Give Grande NM Day for the community at the library from 8 am to 8pm. There will be extra computers and tech support available all day and a special PARTY from 6 – 8pm including FREE Root Beer Floats for anyone with a Give Grande Receipt, which you can bring in or print out at the library.

The minimum online donation is $10, and many organizations are offering incentives for donors. Abiquiu Library is giving a FREE book to its donors, and the Northern Youth Project is giving a FREE “Three Sisters” seed packet. You will also be able to see in real-time what is raised for each nonprofit.
