2:30–4:00 pm: Tewa & Genizaro Voices: How Genizaros fit into the Native World

Moderator Tessie Naranjo, Santa Clara Pueblo, in discussion with Rosalie Tafoya, Santa Clara Pueblo, Epifania Jaramillo and Theresa Jaramillo Vasquez, Genizaro dancers, David Lopez, Pueblo de Abiquiu historian. Summation follows by Malcolm Ebright, writer, Center for Land Grant Studies.

4:30-5:00 pm: Abiquiu Area as a World Heritage Migration Site:

5:00-5:30 pm: Genizaro Dancing Grandmothers/Mothers and Daughters dancing together with Dexter Trujillo drumming

5:30-6:30 pm: Dinner

Lamb, Blue Corn Enchildas, Indian Bread, Beans w/Chicos, Posole, Cornbread, Dessert

The Library will display photos and other historic materials during the conference and also film the conference with Dennis Chavez and one youth assistant.

* Open house @ Pueblo de Abiquiu Library noon-1pm for visitors to view the Digital Archaeology Storyline and our digital collections of Oral Histories. Visitors can also book an Abiquiu History Tour for Sunday.
